Thanks for stopping by! Let me tell you a little about myself. Like the website says, my name is Matthew and I’m a web developer based out of the beautiful and sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
My story isn’t very different than most others. I was born here in Plantation and grew up with a love for sports and video games. After high school, I began working at local restaurants as a server making quick cash while learning the values of customer service. The restaurant industry gave me a great insight on the inner workings of what a fast-paced, consumer-driven market is all about. Ever since then, working an ordinary 8 desk hour job has never been for me.
Early in college, I began studying Architectural Design and gained an affinity for design and development. Soon I started learning how to piecing together core elements to achieve a workable and navigable spaces. Naturally, this translated extremely well into website design and development.
After being exposed to blogging platforms such as LiveJournal and WordPress, I quickly adapted and picked up customizing these website management systems for myself and friends. This eventually lead to learning how to register and build websites for personal projects and small-time clients. After a few years of this, I felt confident enough in my abilities to find a job in the industry.
In 2012, I started working professionally as an in-house web developer for local startups navigating the wonders of the web. I quickly learned and perfected development languages and web applications with the boom of DIY YouTube videos. Shortly after, I found myself becoming master in front-end web development with a multitude of completed websites. Each one bettering my skills and level of understanding of web design and development.
Fast forward to 2017 and I’ve registered my first small business, Moondog Development, with the hopes of taking on any challenging and new projects for clients all over the world.
I’m actively perfecting my expertise in all things web development and one of my main goals is to teach web development classes for those interested.
And the rest is to be determined…
